Glued has been awarded an Innovate UK Launchpad grant to develop Teams Glued, our team development programme that combines behavioural profiling with an immersive virtual reality challenge.
What Teams Glued does
Before the session, everyone completes a short behavioural profile. We then form teams that mix different styles and set them a VR escape challenge that no one can solve alone. As they work through the puzzles, people practise flexing their own style to get the best from each other, and the debrief turns what happened in the game into habits they can take back to work.
Why it matters
Traditional team building is fun, but the effect rarely lasts. At the same time, workplace conflict is estimated to cost UK businesses £28.5 billion a year. Teams Glued is designed to make the change stick, and we follow up two weeks after each session to track what has changed.
Built in Coventry & Warwickshire, designed for the UK
Teams Glued is being developed with digital and immersive technology businesses from Coventry and Warwickshire, drawing on the region’s creative industries, with the aim of offering it to organisations across the UK.
What’s next
We have already run pilot events and secured paid engagements. Next, we are developing standard and tailored programmes for sectors including automotive, advanced manufacturing and video games.
